Last Week of Summer.
Sunday, August 7
I went to Church with my dad today and then went shopping for the rest of the day. First I tried the mall, but couldn't find anything there. Later I went to Kohl's with my mom and found one shirt. I tried on so many things. I guess this whole back to school shopping thing will take a while. After shopping my mom and I went to Applebee's for dinner. I had never dined in there before. The food was delicious and they had this pomegranate lemonade which was really good too.
Monday, August 8
I tried to work on reading for school, but didn't get a whole lot done. I did, however, manage to watch the new episodes of the Monday shows I watch.
Tuesday, August 9
I have been working on reading again today for English. It isn't that the book I'm reading is bad, but it's just a little slowing-moving at the moment and when I read it I tend to get rather sleepy... This morning I saw Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 with a friend. The movie was epic. Even better than I imagined. I didn't really want to see it in 3D, but we did and it made things scarier because the action was so in-your-face. The ending was amazing. It really seemed to wrap everything up. I'm so happy that Hermione and Ron ended up together as well as Harry and Ginny. I'm sad that there won't be anymore Harry Potter movies, but I will always be a fan. :)

Today was just one of those days I wanted to sleep and do nothing else. I slept late (which I really shouldn't have) and had a fairly uneventful day. Hmm days like today make me ask myself why I even started blogging about summer in the first place. I had to go up to my school to buy my parking permit for this year since I didn't get it on the day of registration. Also I worked on a little bit of reading even though all I wanted to do was sleep. I also went for a mall walk and that was my day. I'm going out with a friend tomorrow, so hopefully that will be fun.

Week Eleven
Sunday, July 31
I actually had a really good day today. I slept in, went to Church, and then went to visit my friend's grandma. I visited with her for a while then got to hang out with a friend I have not seen in weeks and a friend I haven't seen in probably a year. It was nice to hang out like old times. I'm really excited for this week because I may be starting my new job soon. I have waited all summer for a new job and I finally got one. I worked at this business last year and amazingly enough they wanted me to come back again this year. I even get to start earlier than I did last year. It's only a seasonal job, but I'm so happy that I have the opportunity to be part of their staff again. It's a costume store and I love Halloween so it's a perfect fit for me. I remember last year we were allowed to wear costumes on the weekends. I definitely took advantage of that opportunity :)
Monday, August 1
I had orientation for a new job I got. I worked at this costume store last year during the Halloween season and they wanted me back this year. The other new employees and I had to fill out paper work and we had other things we had to do. I guess you could call them tests. We were split into two groups. My group name was "Team Awesome." I didn't come up with the name, but it fit because we were pretty awesome. We had to arrange a display, create and perform a skit of a customer situation, and we also had to answer questions individually about what we would do in a certain situation. They kept track of points and my team won so we got gift cards to the store which was nice.

I'm pretty sure I tried to work on some homework for school. Also I went shopping to find something to wear for my senior pictures.
Wednesday, August 3
I went to this steakhouse with my mom and dad called Anthony's for dinner. The food was good, but I wasn't too hungry or even in the mood to go out to dinner :/
Thursday, August 4
Today was registration for school so I had to go to turn in paper work and get my picture taken for the yearbook. Later I had to meet up with the President and VP of the club I'm in because I'm secretary and we needed to do some planning before school started.
Friday, August 5
I had to work today for about 6 hours. They had me working in the warehouse because there is a lot to be done for the Halloween season. I wanted to get a lanyard for my nametag so I went to the mall. I ended up going on a shopping excursion. I looked around at clothes and scoped out what was on sale. When I left I had with me a lanyard, a Lady Gaga album, and a prom dress. There is this one store that sells dresses and I found this dress that the price was reduced a lot on. I absolutely loved the dress and was thinking about putting it on hold because I wasn't sure if I should get it or not and was unsure about the price. It turns out it was less expensive than I thought and I got a great deal on it. I'm so excited to wear it even though prom is months away <3
Saturday, August 6
I finally wrote out some lyrics for songs that I had been working on for a while. I typed them into my phone as the ideas came to me and just randomly decided to write them in my Charlie the Unicorn notebook. My brother bought it for me a while back and I wanted to write finished songs in there so it would look nice. Then I decided I needed some place to write them so I just wrote them out in pencil. I hope to do some more song writing soon. I think I have at least 1 really good idea for a song, but it needs a melody and maybe one final verse. I listened to my Lady Gaga CD and was really impressed. The titles made me wonder if I would like the songs or not, but I ended up loving them all! She is such a great inspiration :D I wrote my last entry for a Spanish journal assignment *insert Final Fantasy victory music*! I was glad to get that finished! Now I just have English homework left to finish before the first day of school (whoo). I feel (semi) accomplished. *smiles*

Week Ten
Whoa, I totally forgot about my daily blog posting....sorry. It's already Thursday and I forgot what I did Sunday- Tuesday so I'll just start with what I remember. I am really sorry. Not to mention embarassed....

I did a lot of cleaning today. My room has been a mess for days (more like for most of the summer) and I wanted to get it all organized before school starts. I still have some work to do, but I at least got a start on it today....*sigh* It just seems like all of a sudden I have too much to do and not enough time. I just know that the impending school year is going to sneak up on me.

I did some reading for an English project and ended up napping for a few hours. Once I woke up I read until I had to go pick my mom up from work.

Week Nine

Today was another stay at home and sleep day. I did some reading and meant to go to Church, but by the time I woke up it was too late. *sigh* I'm sick of sleeping my summer days away. I've got to kick things into high gear here soon because I've got a lot to do. I am hoping this will be a productive week. Productive meaning I get cleaning done and work on homework. I have been avoiding homework for a while and as for the cleaning, I have just been too busy lately....
Monday, July 18- Friday, July 22
My Internet was down this week so I have been unable to make daily posts. This week I did a lot of cleaning, redecorating in my room, and tuning into my shows- Pretty Little Liars, Teen Mom, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, and there is this new show on MTV called Awkward that I watched a little bit of. Thursday I scoped out possible places I could have my senior pictures taken (those will be taken Sunday. I'm so excited!), and I got some new books. There was this place getting rid of books so I was able to get them for free. I found some novels, self-help books, books about writing, plays, and poetry books. Friday I ran errands with my mom and got some things to add to my room (a desk chair and full-length mirror). Other than that I have been reading the books I got and trying to avoid the heat. I also got a call saying that an old employer of mine might want me to come back this year to work for them seasonally again. I am super happy about this. I loved that job when I had it before! As much as I worry about going back to school, I am pumped for homecoming, Halloween, and seeing my friends again.

Week Eight

I went to the gym this morning like usual for a little workout. I wasn't sure what to do today so I did some reading and ended up falling asleep a few times. -__- There is this little consignment shop I went to once before where they have a sale on Sundays so I decided to go. I dragged my dad along with me and found some pretty good stuff. Four shirts and a jacket for a total of $5. I love buying clothes that cost next to nothing <3 To end the day I went to Church and did some more reading.
Monday, July 12
I went to a craft store because they had patterns on sale and I wanted to find a pattern similar to the cosplay costume I want to make. Without a pattern I doubt the dress would have turned out very well. We'll see how it goes. Other than that I did a lot of cleaning today and moved a few things around in my room. It was rather tiring, but it will all be worth it in the end.

My Grandma agreed to help me with the pattern I bought for my Kagura cosplay dress. I'm glad I didn't try to mess with it yesterday because I would have messed it up big time. @_@ I have never used a sewing pattern before today. It was somewhat difficult. We had to figure out which pieces we needed for the dress, cut out the pattern pieces, pin them to the fabric, and cut them out. After about 2 hours we got the majority of the pinning and cutting finished. I have a little bit more left to do so I am going back to my grandma's tomorrow to finish it up. Once I have that last piece cut out she is going to help me pin some of the pieces together and I am on my way! I am hoping that it won't take long to get everything sewed together. I am making the cosplay for a picnic this weekend. I really really hope that I am able to finish it in time.

I tried to start sewing my costume together, but kept encountering problems. My grandma is going to help me again tomorrow -_- I am hoping to have the dress finished soon. I'm sick of messing with it. I watched some movies and made a tutu because I had extra tule and was bored. That was my day. Ooh also I found out that this fabric store I go to is hiring so I picked up an application. I hope I find a new job soon -__- My job hunting efforts have been fruitless so far.

I worked more with my Grandma on my cosplay costume. In the end, it didn't turn out as planned. The sleeves were too tight so we removed the sleeves, but it still didn't look right. It was too tight in the bust and back area. I felt bad that she put so much time into helping me make this dress that didn't fit right. I made it to wear to a cosplay picnic Saturday, but she didn't think I should wear it. I hope that the next thing I sew actually fits right.

Since my dress didn't turn out right I ended up wearing something else to the cosplay picnic. The picnic was okay, but because I didn't know many people and it was so hot outside I didn't have fun. Maybe I might have more fun at the next picnic if I go. I'm not sure. I barely got any sleep so I ended up falling asleep for the rest of the day. I wish the heat wasn't so intense. It is only supposed to get worse. Oh boy -__-
